Corazones Urbanos: Critical Literary Regionalism and Southwest Cities.

This book project centers urban space as a critical site of struggle and cultural production in Mexican American literature, advancing a place-based methodology grounded in critical literary regionalism. Through case studies from Albuquerque, Tucson, and San Antonio, it argues that Mexican American narratives function as spatial critique, challenging erasure and illuminating the local dynamics of global urbanization.

Founder and Director, Mapas del Corazón (ArcGIS StoryMaps)

A community-engaged digital archive accompanying my book manuscript, Corazones Urbanos, Mapas del Corazón maps Chicanx literary works and the ways writers imagine and inscribe the cities they write about. Drawing on oral histories, photographs, and literary narratives, the project documents displacement and spatial transformation in Tucson, Albuquerque, and San Antonio.
